Exciting News, Tempere! Burlesque Workshops Are Coming! I'm thrilled to visit Tempere for the first time and offer a brand-new series of Burlesque workshops! Get ready for an evening full of fun, creativity, and empowerment, with all-new songs, styles, props, and choreography.

There are two workshops to choose from, each designed to flow seamlessly into the next, giving you a complete Burlesque experience throughout the day. Whether you're a beginner or have experience, all levels are welcome! Feel free to try both of the workshops to dive into different aspects of Burlesque and unlock your inner performer. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to explore new techniques, unleash your creativity, and have an unforgettable time!

Classic Seduction

Time: 17:30pm - 19:00pm

Open to all levels of experience 

Immerse yourself in the glamour of Classic Burlesque! Whether you're just starting or have experience under your belt, this workshop offers a perfect blend of history, technique, performance skills and a foundation to build on. Together we'll explore vintage moves, pinup poses, comedy (Burla), character development, impressionable facial expressions and how to connect with the audience in ways that make your performance unforgettable. Whether you're preparing to take the stage or simply want to dive deeper into the world of classic burlesque, this session will equip you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to shine like the stars of yesteryear.

Big Pussy Energy

Prop - Neck Tie (Provided by Gina)

Are you ready to tap into your bold, powerful energy on stage? If you love exploring fierce, high-energy movements and embracing the art of the tease, then this workshop is made for you. This is Gina's signature workshop, where she combines unapologetic teasing with modern beats, intense stomping choreography, prop work and how to command the audience.

In this dynamic session, you'll learn how to move with intention, embrace confidence in stillness, and project a strong stage presence. Gina will also introduce you to acting and theatre techniques that help you embody a character and stay committed to it throughout your performance.

This tour, we’ll be focusing on incorporating neck ties into your choreography and character work. You’ll discover ways to unravel a neck tie and how to use it for multiple purposes like a blind fold and hand binding.

• Strip tease with a neck tie and multiple ways to use it

• How a costume piece can elevate story telling

• Techniques and smooth transitions

• Strong stage presence and fierce facial expressions

Note: Gina will be providing neck ties for all workshop participants - designed to fit all body types.

My Mission

"What I’ve always loved about Burlesque is that it’s been a safe space for me to explore my creativity, my body, and my sexuality. I cherish being able to provide that same empowering experience for others, and it means so much to me to share this journey with you. Whether you’re new to dance or have some experience, my workshops are open to all levels, and I encourage everyone to learn at their own pace. My workshops are beginner-friendly, body-positive, and inclusive of all genders, bodies, identities, and backgrounds. They’re also sex-positive, with the ultimate goal of empowering you and celebrating who you are through the art of Burlesque.

I acknowledge that sex workers pioneered and were the integral part in the history and creation of this art form. I'm committed to honour, respect, and celebrate the foundational contributions of those who have shaped and continue to influence the burlesque community today.

What to wear and bring

I want you to feel confident, sexy, and empowered during my workshops, so wear clothing that is comfortable, easy to move in, and makes you feel your best. Many people choose leggings, crops, sports bras, singlets, or shorts. For shoes, you can opt for professional dance heels (no stilettoes or everyday heels), jazz shoes, sneakers, flat dance shoes, or go barefoot if that’s more comfortable for you. If we’re doing floor work, please bring knee pads for protection. Don’t forget to bring water to stay hydrated, and if you'd like to take notes, feel free to bring a notepad and pen.
